Soler & Palau Industries, S.L.U.

In February 1951, Mr. José Palau and Mr. Eduard Soler founded the company Soler & Palau Ing. It started in a store of no more than 230 m² in Viñas Street in Ripoll. Their main objective was to fabricate fans with a patented external rotor motor.

During the decade of the fifties, the productive area of Soler & Palau is increased to more than 2,000 m² due to large increase in product range and sales.

During the sixties, the name is changed to Soler y Palau S.A., and due to limited space, some new land is acquired on the outskirts of Ripoll, where 3 industrial units are built: one dedicated to iron and aluminum founding, another for assembly and production, and a third for a logistics warehouse.

During the eighties, the industrial unit dedicated to the warehouse is redesigned to incorporate the laboratory and some assembly lines. Consequently a new Logistics Center was constructed in Parets del Vallés.

Today, Soler & Palau Industries SLU, the production center in Ripoll, has an aluminum foundry, motor fabrication line, fan production lines and an advanced, laboratory in an area of more than 30,000 m².

Soler & Palau Sistemas de Ventilación, S.L.U.

In March 1985 the construction of a logistic center and an office building begins in Parets del Vallès, with the purpose of being the operational center of the S&P Group.

Early 1986 a semi-automated logistics warehouse of 5,000 m² with a capacity of 4,800 pallets is inaugurated.

In 1994 an office building is built on adjacent land to the logistic center Group Management as well as commercial, export, marketing, purchasing and I+D areas are located here.

In 1997 the warehouse is expanded, increasing the area and the capacity of the Logistic Center up to 6,800 m² and 8,000 pallets.

CHAYSOL Sistemas de Ventilación, S.L.U.

Talleres CHAYSOL, S.L. was established on 31 December 1970.

Years later, AIRVENT acquired the business, machinery and personnel from Talleres CHAYSOL. Over these years, the company built a warehouse for storage and offices and created Fabricados Auxiliares de Ventilación, S.A. (FAVEN), which manufactures products exclusively for CHAYSOL.

On 6 May 1997, Soler & Palau, S.A. acquired both Talleres CHAYSOL, S.L. and Fabricantes Auxiliares de Ventilación, S.A.

In 1998, CHAYSOL and FAVEN merged, becoming Ventiladores CHAYSOL, S.A.

As of 2016, Chaysol has a 17,000 m² building on 25,000 m² of land on Avenida de los Alcotanes in the El Cascajal industrial park in Pinto Madrid and an additional 5,000 m² warehouse locally.

Electromecánicas MC, S.A.

Electromecánicas MC, S.A. was founded in 1977 in Sils, Girona, manufacturing electric motors and fans from the beginning.

In 1992, Soler & Palau acquired a majority stake in the company.

In 2000, the company acquired an adjoining plot with 4,100 m² of land.

In February 2001, construction began on a new warehouse and the previous one was refurbished, with the space distributed as follows:

2 production plants with 1,170 m² each for a total of 2,340 m²
1,872 m² of storage space
Offices and motor laboratory: 915 m²
Loading/unloading docks: 305 m².

MATRIX, S.A.

The tooling section of the Soler & Palau plant built in the late 1950s and equipped with high-precision machinery became MATRIX, S.A., continuing to supply Soler & Palau while also expanding its business activity to serve other customers.
MATRIX, S.A. was established on 31 December 1973, but it didn’t take shape until 1974, when Soler & Palau moved from the main building into a new warehouse on Carretera de Puigcerdà outside of Ripoll.

From the time it was set up as a separate company, MATRIX always produced high-quality dies and moulds. It not only supplied these to Soler & Palau but also to other customers from a wide variety of sectors, including automobile, pharmaceuticals, perfumes, food and consumer electronics.

On 3 July, 2006 Soler & Palau sold all of its shares in Matrix to SOME, thus Matrix no longer belongs to the Soler & Palau group.

RODIN, S.A.
